Fleet EV Infrastructure: Design Coordination

Helix Water District was formed by residents over 100 years ago to bring water to San Diego’s east county communities. The District currently delivers safe and reliable water to over 277,000 people in La Mesa, Lemon Grove, El Cajon, and to unincorporated areas of the county including Spring Valley and Lakeside.

When Helix began the process of evaluating their needs to meet the Clean Energy Act for advanced clean cars, trucks and fleets, they engaged CBSI early in the process.

As the current Design Coordination Consultant, CBSI is tasked with aligning the requirements of the State, City, District, APCD and SDG&E to create the design for the Operations Center Electrification Project. Our team is utilizing our experience of managing the installation of over 300 EV charging stations for SDG&E to effectively lead Helix through the design process. Our scope of services during design include:

  • Design Coordination of EV Charging Infrastructure Installation
  • Development of scoping package
  • Designer selection
  • Constructibility Review
