City of Carlsbad Cole and Dove Libraries: Relocation Management
Created the Scope of Work and assisted the City in bidding out the Move Services for the relocation of 750,000 volumes of books for the Cole and Dove Libraries in preparation for renovations in both facilities. Organized and managed the actual move events in multiple phases over a 9-month period. This included moving all volumes and furniture to an off-site location and then returning them to the renovated space into new stack layouts. This was done in a fashion that the lowest shelf on each stack was left empty to prepare for future growth.
